Frank Sigsbury

Mr. Frank R. Sigsbury 85 a resident of River Street passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday January 17, 2018 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. The son of the late Earl and Mary (Mills) Sigsbury , he was born in Melrose, MA on August 17, 1932. He grew up in Melrose where he attended local schools. Frank married the former Beverly Horsman 61 years ago. They relocated to Vermont in 1962 and established their business Modern Aluminum Anodizing in North Adams , retiring in 2010. Frank was a communicant of Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church , dedicated to his company he operated a successful business for many years, he will be remembered as always being very family oriented. Frank leaves his wife Beverly, sons Kenneth Sigsbury of Pownal , Steven Sigsbury of Bennington, and Ronald Sigsbury of North Adams ,daughters Laura Clark of Wells and Valerie of Massachusetts, a brother William Sigsbury of Redding, MA , a sister Barbara Gricci of Massachusetts, 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two sons Douglas on September 28, 1996 and John on September 20, 2014. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday January 25 at 11am from Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church, a prayer service will precede the funeral mass at 10:30 at the Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home. Burial will follow the mass in the Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6-8pm when the family will be present.
