Fred D. Hart

Fred D. Hart, 77 of Dorset passed away peacefully at Mountain View Center in Rutland on Saturday July 14, 2018. The son of Dana and Elizabeth (West) Hart, he was born at home in Dorset on January 31, 1941. He worked on the family farm until 1974 then for Chet Phillips at the Juel Store. He later worked as the custodian and bus driver at The Dorset School. Fred enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as listening to country music and gardening. He leaves his sister Rosecile Johnson and Susan Hart both of Bennington and Edna Mylott of Dorset, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by siblings Montie Hart and Nadine Kelly, infant brother Marshall Hart, half-brother Christopher Morris, and special friend Chet Phillips. Funeral service will be held at Brewster-Shea Funeral Home on Thursday July 19 at 2pm, calling hours will be held from 1-2. Burial will take place in the West Pawlet Cemetery immediately following the service. Memorial gifts may be made to Bayada Hospice in care of Brewster-Shea Funeral Home, P.O. Box 885, Manchester Ctr., VT 05255. Funeral service will be held at Brewster-Shea Funeral Home on Thursday July 19 at 2pm, calling hours will be held from 1-2. Burial will take place in the West Pawlet Cemetery immediately following the service.
