Fred Herrera, 84, a resident of North Road in Manchester and formerly from Utah, passed away March 24, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. Fred was born in Dixon, New Mexico on January 23, 1940. He attended New Mexica and American Fork, Utah schools. Fred worked as a boilermaker for most of his working career, working on various nuclear power plants. He was a member of the U.S. Navy during the Korean War Conflict. Fred enjoyed fishing, hunting in his earlier years, working on antique cars and loved working and maintaining his yard. Fred is survived by his wife Dorothy (Holm) Herrera of Manchester, daughter Kim Kowanko (Pete) also of Manchester and grandchildren Chris, James and Alex. He was preceded in death by his son Kurt Herrera.
