Gayle (Stan) Goodrich

Gayle (Stan) Goodrich, 77, a resident of Danby, passed away Sunday January 25, 2015 at the Mountain View Center in Rutland. Stan was born in Goldendale, Washington on April 19, 1937 the son of Myron and Bonnie (Robertson) Goodrich and received his education in Goldendale schools. Stan worked as a logger in Washington and as a carpenter for eighteen years in Alaska and also in Vermont. Stan enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a Boston Red Sox Fan and St. Louis Rams football fan. He enjoyed his home and spending time with his family and friends. Stan is survived by his sons Shawn Goodrich and his companion Lisa Hall of Danby and Stephen Yrsha of Georgia, brothers Daniel Goodrich of Idaho and Vernon Goodrich of Michigan, 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased in death by his wife Jane Goodrich, daughters Susan Griffin and Sandy Johnson, six brothers and five sisters. A celebration of the life of Gayle (Stan) Goodrich will be held Saturday January 31, 2015 at 2pm for close family and friends at the home of Shawn Goodrich, 176 Cascade Road Danby, Vermont.
