Glen A. Rizio, 45, a resident of East Mountain View Trail, passed away unexpectedly October 21,2015. Glen was born in Rutland on August 27, 1970 the son of Dick and Nan (Stenstrom) Rizio. He attended Manchester Elementary School and graduated from Pine Ridge School in Williston, VT. Glen was a carpenter - cabinet maker, working on many area construction projects. Glen's passion was his love for the outdoors. He loved skiing and mountain biking, traveling out west to ski and he was a ski instructor at Bromley Mountain. He enjoyed hiking and rock climbing and was an avid fan of Boston sports especially the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. He loved the beach at Cape Cod, loved going to the gym and working out, playing guitar, listening to Rock music and spending time with his family and friends. Glen is survived by his parents Dick and Nan Rizio of Manchester, brother Eric Rizio of Manchester, sister Wendy Rizio and her son Noah of Manchester, his good friend Tim Ward of Dorset, his dog Tupper and his aunt and uncle and many cousins and friends. A celebration of the life of Glen A. Rizio will be held Saturday October 31, 2015 at 11am at Zion Episcopal Church in Manchester. Interment will be private. Visiting hours will be held Friday October 30, 2015 from 5-7pm at Brewster & Shea Funeral Service 34 Park Place Manchester Center, Vermont. If friends desire, memorial gifts in Glen's memory may be made to the Second Chance Animal Center, c/o Brewster & Shea Funeral Service P.O. Box 885 Manchester Center, VT 05255.
