Gloria Beckley

Gloria Beckley, 89, a resident of Mad Tom Road, passed away June 23, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. Gloria was born in Danby, VT on March 14, 1928 the daughter of the late Vincent and Hazel (Stevens) Sendra and attended local schools. Gloria worked as a finisher for Mack Molding for 51 years and never missed a day of work. She enjoyed watching and feeding birds, loved going to tag sales and baking. Her true passion was the times spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her son David Beckley of East Dorset, daughter Linda Niles and her husband Raymond also of East Dorset, brothers Harold Sendra and his wife Sharon of Danby, Lanny Sendra and his wife Claudia also of Danby and Cecil Sendra and his wife Mary of Wallingford, sisters Vickie Pinsonault of East Dorset and Tina Bird and her husband Bill of Danby and Florida, 11 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Alvah Beckley, Sr who died in 1991 and son Butch (Alvah Beckley, Jr.) who died in 2011. Graveside funeral services for Gloria will be held Wednesday June 28, 2017 at 10am in South Village Cemetery in East Dorset. There are no visiting hours.
