Gordon Robert Wilkinson

Gordon Robert Wilkinson, 65, a resident of Bennington, VT passed away July 25, 2022 at home surrounded by his family and best friend Ron Staples. Gordon was born in Bennington on September 14, 1956 the son of the late Robert L. and Mary E. Moffitt Wilkinson. He attended Arlington schools, graduating from Arlington Memorial High School. Gordon worked in construction for many years. He loved fishing and swimming in rivers. His real passion was carpentry and operating machinery. He loved to laugh and tell jokes and was a very private person who kept to himself. He also loved to cook and grow flower and vegetable gardens. Gordon is survived by his sons Travis Wilkinson of Harrisburg, PA and Brandon Wilkinson of Pownal, VT, his brother Wesley Wilkinson of Arlington, VT, sisters Darlene Jones (Guy) of North Bennington, Debra J. Campbell (Raymond) of Shaftsbury, Vera Wilkinson (Kate) of Watertown, Massachusetts and Diane Armstrong (Glen) of Bennington, grandchildren Elliot, Killian, Gabriel, Ryder and Avereigh and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside funeral services for Gordon will be held August 8, 2022 at 1pm in St. Columban’s Cemetery in Arlington. There are no visiting hours. The family will have a small celebration of Gordon’s life following services at Arlington Recreation Park.
