Harry F. Harrington, Jr.

Harry F. Harrington, Jr., 68, a resident of Birch Way of Valley Falls NY, passed away November 29, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. Harry was born in Cambridge, NY on April 6, 1954 the son of the late Harry F. Harrington, Sr. and Carolyn Goodell and attended local schools. Harry worked for a machine shop in North Hoosick, NY, then did custodial work for Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, Vermont Veterans Home, and Hoosick Falls Health Center. He also worked for Flomatic, Jards, worked odd jobs and painted houses. Harry enjoyed making lamps out of Jack Daniels bottles, hunting, fishing, watching baseball following NASCAR races and spending time with his family. Harry is survived by his wife Mary (Hull) Harrington of Valley Falls whom he married May 26, 2001 in White Creek, NY, children Michelle Francoeur (Dan) of North Bennington, VT, Alma Joy (Pete Grande) of Brunswick, NY, Mary Steen (Matt) of Nassau, NY and John Joy (Nancy) of Cambridge, NY, sister Marilyn Gallett (Ronald) of White Creek, NY, brother Carl Harrington of Troy, NY, 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sons Eugene and Frankie Joy, sisters Patricia Haynes, Carolyn Harrington and Bertha Russell and a great grandson Kyllian. A celebration of life for Harry will be held Monday December 5, 2022 at 1pm at Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home 213 West Main Street Bennington, VT. Interment will follow in Park Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be held from 11-1pm, 2 hours prior to the service.
