Harry Richard Towne

Harry Richard Towne, 78, a resident of Upper Road, passed away July 15, 2023 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. Harry was born in Bennington, VT on May 10, 1945 the son of the late Silas and Florence (Lechter) Towne and attended Arlington, VT schools. Harry was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed taking long walks, going to casinos and enjoyed listening to country music. Harry is survived by his daughters Janet Lafayette and Stacy Towne, both of Rutland and sisters Lucille Towne Holton of Arlington and Evelyn Tobin of Manchester. He was preceded in death by siblings Florence Hess, Frances Hayes, Gladys Pike, Doris Cole and Henry Towne. Graveside services for Harry will be held Tuesday August 15 at 11am in Factory Point Cemetery in Manchester. A celebration of Life will follow at the Arlington American Legion.
