Jacqueline J. Myers

Jacqueline J. Myers, 78, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday October 9th, 2019 at Albany Medical Center. Jackie was born on July 3,1941 in New Haven, CT to parents Rose and Aldo Battista. Jackie grew up in New Haven, CT and graduated from Saint Mary’s High School. After graduation, Jackie worked in the banking industry for three years. Many did not know that Jackie was an accomplished pianist. In her teens, she was accepted into The Juilliard School of Music in New York but did not attend. In 1962, she married the love of her life, William. Together they established a home and family in East Haven, CT for 54 years. For years Jackie dedicated herself to raising her three beloved children and caring for her mother, Rose, and Mother-in-law, Leona. In 1991, they purchased a vacation home in West Dover, VT. Over the years, they have enjoyed many activities, favorite places and memorable friends here. In May 2016, Jackie and Bill moved permanently to their vacation retreat. Jackie loved it up here. She loved the serenity of Vermont and spending all her time with her love of her life. She would give daily nature reports to Bill and her girls. One of her favorite things was the daily visits from the local hummingbirds – each different one bringing her more excitement and peace. Another one of her favorite things was to give her grandkids tons of kisses! Jackie was a kind, generous and gracious woman. She was the most loving mom and wife a family could ask for. She will be dearly missed and will be forever in our hearts. Jackie is survived by her loving husband, Bill; her daughters, Maria Snow (Brad Glazer) and Elisa Myers, and all that called her “Nonnie”; her grandchildren William Myers, III, Leah Rose Gobany, Andrew Gobany and Jadi Glazer; her great-granddaughters Hailey, Lillian and Daisy Myers. Jackie was preceded in death by her son, William Myers, Jr. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 26th, 2019 at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Wilmington, VT 05363 at 11:00 am.
