James W Brown

James W. Brown, 71, a resident of Warm Brook Road, passed away December 7, 2023 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. James was born in Danby, VT on May 21, 1952 the son of the late William and Jessica Brown and attended Wallingford schools. James was a woodworker and worked for J.K. Adams for many years. He was a member of the United States Navy serving during the Viet-Nam era, a member of the American Legion in Arlington and Past Commander, enjoyed fixing clocks, gardening, listening to all kinds of music and loved animals. James is survived by his wife Lorraine Brown of Arlington. Daughters Jennifer Brown of Woodford, VT, Danielle Mandy (Victor) of Mariah, NY and Kerry Brown of West Rutland, VT, brothers Gary Brown (Candy) of Danby, VT and Michael Brown of Morrisville, Vt, his sister Mary Beth Cooly (Robert) of Maryland, 6 grandchildren and a great grandchild. Funeral services for James will be held Tuesday December 12, 2023 at 2pm at Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home Arlington Chapel Historic Route 7A Arlington, VT. A visitation hour at the funeral home will be held Tuesday December 12, 2023 from 1-2pm, one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held in the spring in Maple Hill Cemetery, Dorset, VT.
