It is with great sadness that we must announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, husband, and father, James A Johnson Jr. (age 37) of Cavendish, VT. James died unexpectedly in Chester VT on October 24, 2020. He was born the son of Pamela A. (Sherman) Johnson and James A. Johnson Sr on October 25, 1983 in Townshend VT. James grew up in Windham VT and attended Windham elementary and Leland and Grey Union High school. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. He especially loved his children more than anything in this world. James married the love of his life, Shamicka (Glidden) Johnson on July 3, 2014 in Proctorsville Vt. James lived in Alaska with his wife and kids for the past 5 years. He was a member of the Kenai New Life assembly of god in Kenai Alaska where he was baptized. James was a jack of all trades. He especially loved cooking at the Townshend Dam Diner where he was employed from the age of 14 to 18 as well as being a mechanic at Benny’s Power in Chester VT. James was a hard worker and dedicated to whatever it was that he was doing. James leaves his wife, Shamicka Johnson of Cavendish VT and their children, Addison Johnson, Allison Johnson, Amethyst Johnson, Autumn Johnson, Abraham Johnson, and baby James Johnson. He is also survived by another son William Johnson who he shared with Jessica Gould of Chester VT. James is survived by his mother Pamela Johnson of Brattleboro, his father James Johnson Sr. and his wife Susan Johnson of Coventry, VT, his sister Kelly Johnson-Thomas and her Husband Nathan Thomas of Townshend, his nephews Ethan Howard of Windham vt and Dominic Johnson of Brattleboro along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. James was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Elizabeth (Reginbald) Sherman and Edward Sherman, his paternal grandparents Cedric Johnson and Beatrice (Wright) Johnson, his brothers Jamie Bezanson and William George. There will be a celebration of life will be held on Saturday November 7, 2020 at 11am on 190 Deer Valley RD in Townshend VT. Flowers may be sent to his sister Kelly Johnson-Thomas at that same address.
