Jane B. Willis

Jane B. Willis 88 a former resident of North Bennington passed away peacefully on Friday morning May 13, 2016 at Eddy Village Green in Cohoes, NY. The daughter of Fred H. and Blanche (Roberts) Bagley she was born at home in Bennington on December 10, 1927. Jane grew up in Searsburg and North Bennington where she graduated from the North Bennington High School and was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church for many years. Jane was married to Carlton Willis in October 1946 at the North Bennington Congregational Church, he predeceased her in 1981. She had worked at the Bijur Lubricating Company retiring after 22 years with the company. Jane traveled extensively visiting friends and family throughout the country, when she wasn't busy traveling she enjoyed crafts and sewing, and recently working as a group putting quilts together at the Eddy Village. She leaves her daughter Sandra W. Niles and companion Peter Lauzon of Buskirk, NY, granddaughters Erin Woods and husband Joel of Fulton, NY and Abigail S. Niles of Nashville, great granddaughter Elizabeth Woods of Fulton, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a daughter Susan Willis and son in law Eric Niles. Private graveside services will be held at the Hinsdillville Cemetery where she will be buried with her husband Carlton.The family extends their sincere appreciation to the staff of Home 16 at Eddy Village Green for their wonderful care and support of Jane and her family. Private graveside services will be held at the Hinsdillville Cemetery where she will be buried with her husband Carlton.
