Jane P Beebe 86, died at home in East Dorset on January 12, 2016, after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Dorset on May 12, 1929 to John and Blanche (Beverage) Park. Jane went to area schools and graduated from Burr Burton Seminary in Manchester. Jane met and married the love of her life Harold. They married on October 30, 1949. She worked side by side with Harold on the family farm while raising four wonderful sons. During her life time, she helped many people. She was the Secretary and Treasurer of the Bennington County Farm Bureau, Assistant Town Clerk in Dorset, a member of Home Dem & Ladies Auxiliary of East Dorset Fire Dept., and many, many others. The real passion in life was her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Jane enjoyed camping, traveling, arts & crafts. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Harold R Beebe, four sons and their wives, Thomas & Katherine, Douglas and Denise, David Beebe & Partner Sarah Haggerty, Clifford Beebe & Partner Andrea Thulin and Daughter in law Melinda Beebe. Seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. A sister Pat Bishop of Rutland VT a brother Robert of Theodore, Alabama, and many Nieces, Nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her parents and sixteen brothers and sisters. Funeral services for Jane will be held Tuesday January 19. 2016 at 11AM at the East Dorset Congregational Church. Interment will follow in the family lot in South Village Cemetery. Family and Friends may call at Brewster Funeral Home 34 Park Place Manchester Center on Monday evening from 5-7pm when the family will be in attendance. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: East Dorset Fire Dept., Saint Jude's Children Hospital, or East Dorset Congregational Church Special Fund in care of Brewster Funeral Home P.O. Box 885 Manchester Center, VT 05255. Funeral services for Jane will be held Tuesday January 19. 2016 at 11AM at the East Dorset Congregational Church. Interment will follow in the family lot in South Village Cemetery.
