Jane P. Stevens, 93, of Little Pond Road in Londonderry, Vermont, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Grace Cottage in Townshend, Vermont.
Jane was born in Jamaica, Vermont on April 5, 1930, the daughter of the late Clifton J. and Beulah (Duperault) Stone. She was a home maker who enjoyed bowling, jigsaw puzzles, bingo, listening to honky tonk music and was an avid Boston Red Sox Fan.
She is survived by her brother James C. Stone, daughters Joyce (Foster) Dority, Alice Kelleher, son Michael Stevens, stepdaughters Lydia Hart, Susan Marcotte, Elizabeth Cole and Carol Briggs, grandchildren Scott Foster, Kevin Kelleher II, Jonathan Kelleher and McKenzie Stevens, and many step-grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceeded in death by her husband Raymond W. Stevens of Mt. Tabor, Vermont, her son John H. Stevens, sisters Doris Merrow and Jeanette Waite, grandson Glenn Foster, great grandchildren Logan Foster and Alyson Foster, and her companion of 36 years, Kenneth V. Tifft of Londonderry.
Funeral services for Jane will be held Monday, January 8, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Brewster Shea Funeral Services 34 Park Place, Manchester Center, Vermont 05255. Interment will take place in the spring at Danby-Scottsville Cemetery in Danby, Vermont. The family will receive friends at the Funeral home Monday, January 8, 2024 from 10-11 a.m., one hour prior to the service.
