Janet E Kierys

Janet E. Kierys, 74, died peacefully May 20,2021 at home after a difficult struggle with MDS. Born in Ware, Massachusetts on January 25, 1947, she was the spouse of Barbara Willenbrock for 38 years. Janet was a graduate of American International College and received a masters degree in Westfield State College. Her entire career was spent teaching in the Enfield, Connecticut Public School system fulfilling her love and gift of educating children. Upon retiring to Vermont in 2002, Janet volunteered with several organizations in the Deerfield Valley. She loved to write poetry and making friends laugh with her puns. Janet also spent her last few winters in Florida where she had many friends. Besides her spouse, Barbara, Janet is survived by her sister-in-law Paula McCarthy and her nephews Brian, Matt, and Dan, brother-in-law, Richard Willenbrock, an aunt, an uncle, and several cousins. It was Janet's wish to have a celebration of her life in her backyard to be held at a later date.
