Janet Sue Miller, 57, a resident of Silk Road, passed away Feb. 2, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family, in the arms of her Husband. Janet was born in Washington, D.C. Mar. 14, 1957 the daughter of Morgan W. and Lucy Ann (Minder) Parks. She attended school in Maryland and upon moving to Vermont graduated from Mt. Anthony Union High School. Janet worked for the former Grand Union and Price Chopper and for Thyme Tables Catering. Janet loved to cook and bake, sharing food and good times with anyone she could and made sure you never forgot to share your recipes. She enjoyed flower gardening, listening to acoustic music and traveling to Napa Valley. Janet was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and was a member of the Kingdom Hall in Bennington. Janet was very active as a minister and loved teaching people about the Bible. Janet leaves behind her husband, Thomas E. Miller, Jr. of Bennington (whom she married Mar. 27, 1976 in Clinton, Maryland), her children; Thomas E. Miller, III and his wife, Stephanie of Bennington, Eric Miller and his wife, Tara of Shelburne Falls, Mass., Morgan Miller and his wife, Aja of Arlington and Nicolette Beagle and her husband, Arthur of Bennington, her brothers; Thomas, Glen and Stephen Parks, her sisters; Alice, Dianna, Chris, Julia, Bonnie and Darlene, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved grandchildren; Benjamin, Moses, Ezekiel, Landon, Juliet and Avery. A Memorial for Janet will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Bennington at a time and date to be announced (at the Kingdom Hall). There are no visiting hours. In lieu of memorial contributions, Janet would like you to hold your family close and cherish time with them and always lend a helping hand to those in need. A Memorial for Janet will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Bennington on Saturday February 7 at 3:30pm (at the Kingdom Hall). There are no visiting hours.
