Janice A. Hurley, 76 a resident of Gore Road passed away peacefully on Sunday January 29, 2017 following an extended illness.The daughter of Walter and Clara ( Brasie) Voller, she was born in Rowe, MA on January 26, 1941. She grew up in the Schenectady, NY area where she graduated from Schenectady High School.Janice had worked at the Ben Mont Paper Company, Thompson Manufacturing, the cafeteria at K-Mart and foster care for children.She was an avid reader, she loved playing Bingo, attending flea markets and being with her many grandchildren.She leaves her husband Edward Hurley Sr, step mother Dorothy Voller, sons Edward Hurley II, Jeremiah and Bud Hurley all of Bennington and Jason Brownell of Virginia, daughters Norma Russell of Woodford, Vicki Hurley of Bennington, Barbara Holland and Robin Beider both of Virginia and Annette Mayer of Pownal, siblings –Kenneth and Louis Voller, Jean Roberts, Bert Race, Dennis, Clark, James and Elizabeth Salmon, Joann McDonald, Mary Long and deceased brother Franklin Voller along with several grand and great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Friday February 3 at 11am at the Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home . Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-7pm when the family will be present. Memorial gifts may be made in support of the family payable to Edward Hurley , in care of Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home, 213 West Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201.
