Jaymes A. Jones, 59, a resident of Jacksonville, Vermont left this earth to go fishing, peacefully passing away surrounded by loved ones on August 2nd 2024 at Albany Medical Center.
Jaymes was born in Bennington, VT on August 25th 1964 to Joyce (Pospesil) and Henry Jones.
For 15 years, Jaymes owned his own excavation company, Jaymes Jones Excavation. Throughout the years he also worked doing carpentry and ran his own auto body shop.
Jaymes enjoyed spending his time fishing and hunting. He loved playing and listening to music. Jaymes was very interested in researching the paranormal and enjoyed reading about the haunted properties of Vermont. He will be remembered by his daughter Jaymielee for his love of the color purple, butterflies, Guns & Roses and the Liliiac Band.
The most significant part of Jaymes’ life was his family. He was dedicated to putting others before himself and helping anyone he could. In support of this passion, Jaymes was a former member of the Whitingham Fire Department and Rescue Squad.
He is survived by his mother, Joyce Jones, of Jacksonville, VT, his four children: Jaymes A. Jones II (Asa), of Readsboro, VT, Nicholas Jones, of Brattleboro, VT, Skyler Liimatainen, of Jacksonville, VT and Jaymielee Marie Jones, of Jacksonville, VT. Three grandchildren; Laila Racette and Leandra Jones, both of Williamstown, MA and Elijha Jones, of Searsburg, VT. He is also survived by three siblings, Henry Jones Jr. (Lisa), of Shelburne, MA, Dean Jones, of Wilmington, VT and Gail Jones, of Wilmington, VT as well as one brother-in-law, Randy Boyd, of Wilmington, VT. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who played an important part in his life.
Jaymes was predeceased by his father, Henry Jones. His grandparents, Leone and Arthur Pospesil, Harvey and Pauline Carrier, and Preston. He was predeceased by one sister, Teresa Boyd.
A celebration of Jaymes life will be held at a later date  privately by his family.
