Jean Frances Lewis

Jean Frances Lewis, 90, a resident of Sunderland Hill Road, passed away April 18, 2022 at the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington. Jean was born in Cambridge, NY on October 19, 1931 the daughter of the late Andrew M. and Nora (Thomas) Guber and attended local schools. Jean worked at the Hale Company in Arlington for many years, worked one summer for Polygraphic and babysat for numerous families in Sunderland throughout the years. She loved square dancing with her husband Newman, apple picking, listening to country western music, was a huge NASCAR and Jeff Gordon fan and cherished times spent with her family. Jean is survived by her daughters Lorraine Croft (Tony) of Arlington, Noreen Becker (Ted) of Arlington, Andrea Finerty (Mike) of Poultney and Tanya Mazza (Anthony) of Shaftsbury, her brother Howard Guber of Florida, sister Judith Hon of Sunderland, 6 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Newman Lewis who passed away May 29, 2010, sister Janice Bowen and great- great grandchildren Skylar Bolster and Whitney Carey. Funeral services for Jean will be held Thursday April 28, 2022 at 1pm at Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home Arlington Chapel Historic Rt 7A Arlington, VT. Interment will follow in Ira Allen Cemetery in Sunderland. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be held Wednesday April 27, 2022 from 4-6pm when the family will be in attendance.
