Jerry E. Merrow, Jr.

Jerry E. Merrow, Jr., 41, a resident of Dutch Road in Danby, passed away unexpectedly August 10, 2015 as a result of injuries sustained in a working accident. Jerry wan born in Rutland on May 25, 1974 the son of Jerry E. and Darlene (Cole) Merrow, Sr. and attended local schools. Jerry was a former line cook at the Sirloin Saloon, worked as a foreman for Luxbrush Painting and then owned and operated J.E.M. Home Maintenance. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and going to work. He was a Boston Red Sox fan, enjoyed listening to country music and cherished times spent with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife Brandi (Grover) Merrow of Danby, children Jerry, III, Cindy, Beth, Page and Tonya, father Jerry E. Merrow, Sr., step mother Tracey Stratton Merrow, sister Rebecca Merrow, grandchildren Damien, Sophie, Noah and Jimx, sister-in-law Tonya Perkins and her wife Felicia, brother-in-law Daniel Grover and his wife Peggy Grover, mother-in-law Linda Doyle, father-in-law Douglas Grover and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Darlene Cole Merrow and maternal and paternal grandparents. Funeral services for Jerry will be held Sunday August 16, 2015 at 1pm at Brewster & Shea Funeral Home 34 Park Place Manchester Center, Vermont. There are no visiting hours. Interment will be private. If friends desire, memorial gifts in Jerry's memory may be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter, c/o Brewster & Shea Funeral Service P.O. Box 885 Manchester Center, Vermont.
