Joan Morse

Joan E. Morse, 70 a resident of North Road passed away Thursday December 17, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. Joan was born in Hartford, CT on February 11, 1945 the daughter of John and Lois (Tischofer) Kennedy. She received her early education in Hartford, CT and upon moving to Vermont graduated from Bennington High School. Joan worked as a housekeeper for many years for area homes and motels. She enjoyed her flower gardens, her animals, painting pictures, the ocean (where she spent many family vacations), the Christmas holiday, and her home. Her most cherished times were spent with her family, which she loved dearly. She is survived by her husband Leroy Morse of Sunderland whom she married in Arlington on July 19, 1969, her son Scott Morse and his wife Michelle of Sunderland, daughters Cindy Root of Springfield, VT, Laurie Troumbley and her husband Charlie, Lea Morse, Melissa Danio and her husband Shawn all of Sunderland, sister Leona Pickstone of Sunderland, fifteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and special niece Sarah Morse of Bennington, VT. Funeral services for Joan will be held December 22, 2015 at 2pm at The American Legion in Arlington, VT. Interment will be private.
