Joan Wade Warner 86 a resident of Brambley Lane passed away suddenly on Friday July 14, 2017 at the Albany (NY) Medical Center. The daughter of Eugene and Hazel (Woodward) Brambley she was born in Philadelphia on January 4, 1931. She grew up in Philadelphia where she graduated high school. Mrs. Warner was a full time mother to her eight children and many others who came to her home. She had also worked at One Hour Martinizing and H&R Block as a tax preparer . She enjoyed reading, Soduko, raising her many dogs but most of all she loved being with her family . She will be remembered for her great sense of humor , she was a generous and giving person, she loved having a house full of people and always gave to others beyond her means. She leaves her six sons Richard W. Muir Jr. and wife Laura of North Pownal, Ronald Muir and Tynee of Amenia, NY, Robert Muir and wife Nancy of Bennington, Roger Muir and wife Dorothy of Bennington, Randy Muir and Denise of Albany, NY and Rodney Muir of Bennington, daughters Judith Hill and husband Douglas and Jane Rowland all of Benningotn, sister-in-law Sue Brambley of Arizona, her great friend Joyce Burgess of Bennington and daughter-in-law Suzy Muir of Richford, 25 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, a great great granddaughter , as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Warner, former husband Richard Muir Sr., brothers Eugene, Richard and Robert Brambley, sisters Betty Hickok and Jane Hill. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday July 22 at 2pm at the Shaftsbury United Methodist Church. A reception will follow in the church hall. There are no calling hours. With her love of dogs, the family suggests memorial gifts be made to the Second Chance Animal Center in care of Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home, 213 West Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201. The family would like to thank all of the aides- especially Claire-at VNA. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday July 22 at 2pm at the Shaftsbury United Methodist Church. A reception will follow in the church hall. There are no calling hours.
