John Wayne Dzialo passed from this life into the waiting arms of Jesus on Friday morning, November 13, 2015 at Albany Medical Center, following a brave battle against the sudden onset of a rare blood disorder.John, also known as Wayne, JW, and the Duke of Sandgate, was 67 years old and was married to Karen, his wife and soul mate of 33 years. They moved to Sandgate from NJ 18 years ago.Wayne was born in Trenton, NJ and after High School drove a truck for his uncle's business. He went into the Army and was stationed in Germany, where he continued his driving career as a bus driver. When Wayne returned home he purchased his own Big Rig, became an Owner-Operator, and contracted with different companies hauling steel, machinery, propane and even watermelons and trees. His CB handle was 5th Wheel and he was known as the "heavy hauler". He took pride in keeping his "ride" clean and shiny and in proper running order.Ten years ago John Wayne went into business as a handyman. He loved to fix things and was especially talented in finding the perfect solution to a problem. He really liked tools, working on cars, and repairing treasures found at tag sales or the dump. Family and tradition was very important. He always wanted to do stuff for his girls, even if it was just making sure the tire pressure on their car was right. He had a passion for hunting, mostly with his son Scott. And of course... fishing for stripers off the Jersey shore with his "hood". A story he liked to tell was the day he got a "Surf and Turf" - (that would be a 40 lb. striper and a deer in the same day)John Wayne Dzialo is survived by his wife Karen, his sister Victoria Chandel, son Scott Dzialo, step daughters Krystal Fogg and Autumn Hobbs. The absolute joys of his heart were the grandchildren...Connor, John, William, Wyatt, and baby girl Everette.
