John “Jack” Robert Cavagnolo

John Robert Cavagnolo “Jack”, 19, of Cook Hollow Road in Manchester Center, VT, passed away December 8, 2023. Jack was born in Niskayuna, NY on September 28, 2004 the son of J. Richard Cavagnolo and Shelly Stone and graduated from Shenedehowa High School in Clifton Park, New York in 2022.

Jack was a kind and gentle soul who cared deeply about his friends and family.  He had a passion for nature and the outdoors and could often be found hiking or running the trails near his home in Vermont.  Most recently, he was learning to be a diver, and obtained his open water diving certification this past summer.  Jack, a sophomore at the University of Vermont, combined his love of nature and the outdoors by majoring in Sustainability Ecology and Policy.

Jack is survived by his loving family including his father, Richard, mother, Shelly and older sisters Samantha and Julia.

A private family celebration of life for Jack will be held on December 21, 2023.

In honor of Jack, the family has set up The Jack Strong Fund in order to share his story and passions in life. The fund will focus on providing hope to those who suffer in silence and support to their families.
