John King

John Clarence King, 72, formerly of Grant Street, passed away October 16, 2016 at Bennington Health and Rehabilitation. John was born in Arlington, VT on March 27, 1944 the son of Raymond Huntoon and Dorothy King. He attended Hudson, NY schools, moving to Bennington in 1974. John worked as a bolierman for W.J. Cowee in Berlin, NY for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. Survivors include his significant other Elsie Young of Bennington, son John King, Jr. of Pownal, brothers Arthur King of Salem, NY, Billy King of Florida, Frank Allen and Fred King of Hudson Falls, NY, sister Bessie Elliott of Barre, VT and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside funeral services for John will be held Friday October 21, 2016 at Woodlands Cemetery in Cambridge, NY. There are no visiting hours.
