John L. Robinson III, 76 a resident of Marlboro Road died peacefully at his home on Wednesday December 14, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. John was born in Waterbury, CT on November 20, 1940, he was the son of John L. Jr. and Ethel (Dawes) Robinson. He grew up in Connecticut where he graduated high school. He had resided in the Whitingham area prior to moving to West Brattleboro where he lived with his granddaughter Michele True. John was employed at the former Brandon Training School where he worked with disabled and disadvantaged children , he later worked as an assistant manager at 7-11 and Jolley Associates in Wilmington. His grandchildren were the hi-light of his life , he enjoyed every moment being with them, he also enjoyed writing children's stories and fishing. John leaves his step children, John True of Bennington, Trisha True and Tracy Niemczyk both of Wilmington, his children John, Martha, Cheryl and Jacquelin, sister Barbara Gardner of Center Brook, CT, granddaughters Tiffany True of Wilmington and Michele True and her children Jason and Dawson Mansfield all of West Brattleboro, as well as many other grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Patricia (O'Brien) True in 1999 and step son Scott True in 2005. Funeral services will be held at the Wilmington Baptist Church on Friday December 30 at 1pm with Reverend L. Douglas LaPlante officiating. He will be buried with his wife Patricia in the Sadawga Cemetery in Whitingham. Memorial gifts may be made in support of the family payable to Michele True in care of the Covey Allen & Shea Funeral Home , P.O. Box 215, Wilmington, VT 05363. Funeral services will be held at the Wilmington Baptist Church on Friday December 30 at 1pm with Reverend L. Douglas LaPlante officiating. He will be buried with his wife Patricia in the Sadawga Cemetery in Whitingham.
