John L. Roche

John "Jack" L. Roche a resident of West Dover, VT passed away April 3, 2025. John was born in Rockville Center, Long Island, NY on March 4, 1945 the son of the late Charles F. Roche, Jr and Mary (Counihan) Roche and attended local schools. John worked in the food service industry since 1975 as a dishwasher and kitchen helper at the Old Red Mill Inn, Forge Restaurant, and Fennessey’s Restaurant. He played the clarinet and alto saxophones.

John has been a friend to High School Sports in Wilmington since the late 1980’s-Supporting soccer, basketball, and baseball, Referred to as "Jocko" he was the manager of the Wilmington and Twin Valley School Soccer Programs for over 25 years. John loved the Space program and was an avid fan of the New England Patriot’s . John is survived by his family, Sister-in-Law (Charles'wife) Rosemary Toth, Sister Deirdre and Robert Van Keuren,

Niece Kimberly Van Keuren Brown, nephews Robert Van Keuren and Charles Roche IV and Great Niece Courtney Brown.Funeral services for John will be held Wednesday April 9, 2025 at Noon at Covey-Allen &Shea Funeral Home 44 East Main Street Wilmington, VT. There are no visiting hours. Interment will be held later in the spring in Ascutneyville Cemetery.
