On November 12, 2022, John Dwight White JR 61, was called into Heaven suddenly, with family by his side.
As a child, he loved growing up on the farm at his grandfather’s in Dorset on Walter Nichols farm. He would always have a story about the farm for anyone that would listen about the good ole days.
John graduated Burr & Burton Seminary in 1979, and was a long-time member of the East Dorset, Dorset and Danby Fire departments and loved being a firefighter. One of his favorite things to do was drive the antique truck in the parades.
John loved football and was a diehard San Diego Chargers fan, and always rooted for the underdog Detroit Lions, wishing one day they would enter a super bowl. (Next year dad). He loved the New York Mets, Basketball, and Hockey, and loved watching any kind of NCAA football or Canadian football, when he wasn’t watching Fox and Friends, Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson or Laura Ingram with his mother.
John spent most of his career with his lawn care, firewood, and plowing business. Forestry and spending time in the woods were his passion.
John loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren like no other. His grandbaby’s meant everything to him. His nieces and nephews also held a special piece of his heart, especially his granddaughter Madison, nieces Destiny, and Eryn and his granddaughter Marlana. He always had something to say about the four of them, and they made him smile. Eryn and Destiny loved Uncle John keeping an eye on them, playing games, barbies, pretty much anything that would keep the kids' company.
John is predeceased by his father John White SR, daughter Jennifer Lee White and Sister Heidi Lake. John is survived by his Mother Marietta, his love Marylin Bishop, Three Brothers Clifford, Tony and Karl White, Sister Deborah White and Caitlin Bush Bennett, His Sons Richard (Rosalynne) White, John LaFlamme, Grandchildren Shania, Ana-Alisha, Chelsea, Madison, Isaac Abraham LaFlamme and Great grandchildren Logan, Hunter, Jordan, Greyson and Serenity and 2 on the way.
John’s services will be held December 4th at 3:00 PM at the United Church of Dorset and East Rupert, officiated by Reverend Grey
