Joe was born in Bayonne NJ a graduate of St Andrews Grammar School where he played drums in the renowned St Andrews Drum & Bugle Corp. & was a rock & roll drummer having played in the Sweet Willie Jam Band with a childhood & best friend (& now rock & roll hall of fame drummer) Clem Burke. A graduate of Marist High School in Bayonne, Joe attended Johnson State College, Vermont, where he was an infamous late night DJ "music aficionado" on WJSC 90.7 FM doing what he loved, turning people onto music (Zappa, Coltrane, Beefheart, Dead, Miles, Hendrix, all music that was worthy & hip be it any genre), grooving to the cosmic vibrations, (sharing far out stories from far out experiences), which he has now followed. Joe loved Vermont; it was his magical place that he loved to talk about with creative beautiful homage in unique descriptive ways that were all Joe. For those who knew or met Joe couldn't help but be impressed by his genuine & genius "one of a kind" personality that took it to a whole other level to be remembered forever. Joe worked locally in Wilmington as a cook & chef in some of the fine eateries lastly the Roadhouse.
