Joshua D. Mylott, 29, a resident of South Street, passed away unexpectedly January 4, 2019 at his home. Joshua was born in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on October 12, 1989 the son of John Rodden and Tanya Mylott. He attended Manchester Elementary and Middle School, graduated from Burr & Burton Academy and Baron Tech in Connecticut. Josh worked as a carpenter for many years. Josh was a Veteran of the United States Army, worked for L & G Fabricators as a welder, Dailey's Pre-Cast and D & J Home Improvements. Josh loved riding and working on motorcycles. He was a handy man who could fix anything. Josh's true passion was deer hunting and loved taking care of his nephew Carter. He was an avid Boston Red Sox and Arizona Diamondback baseball fan and a huge Baltimore Raven football fan. Josh loved animals, old country music, rock & roll, hard rock and the sounds of the Grateful Dead. Josh is survived by his mother Tanya Bogardus and her husband Richard of Bennington, his fiance Danielle Mone of Bennington, maternal grandparents Judy Mylott of Rutland and Joseph Mylott of Manchester, his father John Rodden of Taylorsville, Illinois, step-brother Trevor Bogardus of Shaftsbury, step-sister Tabitha Bogardus of Nashua, NH, half sister Kaleigh Rodden of Fort Meyers, FL, Mother-in-law and father-in-law Deborah and Donald Mone of Shaftsbury, brothers-in-law Dustin and Dylan Mone of Bennington and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and his dogs Harley and Blaze whom he loved very much. A celebration of the life of Joshua D. Mylott will be held Thursday January 10, 2019 from 5-7pm at Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home 213 West Main Street Bennington, VT.
