Joyce C Tarbell

Joyce C. Tarbell, 88, formerly of Dorset, passed away June 8, 2016 at the Haynes House of Hope in Granville, NY. Joyce was born in Winhall, VT on September 24, 1927 the daughter of the late Lee and Georgiana (Forrest) Hewes and attended local schools. Joyce cleaned local homes and formerly worked at J.K. Adams for many years, Equinox Terrace, Grand Union and Price Chopper. Joyce was a life member of VFW Harned-Fowler Post 6471 and also a member of the Eagles in Manchester. She enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, snowmobiling and 4-wheeling. She enjoyed listening to country music, was a NASCAR fan and also enjoyed following football and baseball. She enjoyed her home and spending time with her family. Joyce is survived by her husband Frank Tarbell of Bennington whom she married in 1977, sons Lyman Dean of Thompson Falls, MT and Walter J. Miller, Jr. and his wife Tammy of Dorset, daughters Wilma Miller and her husband Dave of Wells, VT, Beverly Keeler and her husband David of Danby and Connie Eaton of Virginia, sister Elizabeth Miller and several grandchildren great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons Lewis Dean and Jerry Dean. At the request of the family there are no formal funeral services.
