Judith Ann Comar, 59, passed away on September 13, 2017 at her home in Danby Vermont surrounded by her family. Judy was the fifth child born to Clarence "Peteâ€Â Comar and Beverly Frederick Comar on August 14,1958. Judy and her family grew up in Manchester, Vermont where Judy attended local schools and graduated from Burr and Burton Seminary in the class of 1976. She graduated from Champlain College in 1979 with a degree in General Business. Judy's working career began at Garmont Industries in Burlington Vermont followed by a long career in her home town beginning at The Enchanted Doll House, The Orvis Company, and The Vermont Country Store. At the time of her death, Judy was employed by Alliance Data Systems, where she was able to work at home and care for her long-time friend, Lorraine Gleason, who survives her. Judy was devoted to her family and was often the center of family reunions, dinner parties, cookie parties, and hosting family and friends. She loved her home and there was frequently a new project or home improvement under way of which she was very excited and proud. Judy is survived by her brothers, Mike Comar and his wife Terese, Greg Comar, Jim Comar and his wife Cathy and her sisters, Nancy Norse and her husband Bait, Carol Comar Frost and the late Dr. Oakley Frost, and Wendy Comar and her husband Ed Clark. Judy is also survived by several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. The Comar's will be receiving friends and family at Brewster-Shea Funeral Home in Manchester on Sunday, from two o'clock to five o'clock. Honorary Pall Bearers in attendance will be Shawn Comar, Ben Comar, Ryan Comar, Eric Comar, Stephen Norse and Dan Pickering. There will be a private grave-side service on Monday at the Scottsville Cemetery in Danby. Memorial gifts may be given to Cancer Research Center. If friends desire, memorial gifts in Judy's memory may be made to the Southwestern Vermont Regional Cancer Center Patient Resource Fund, c/o Brewster-Shea Funeral Home P.O. Box 885 Manchester Center, VT 05255. The Comar's will be receiving friends and family at Brewster-Shea Funeral Home in Manchester on Sunday, from two o'clock to five o'clock.
