Keith Edward Cole

Keith Edward Cole, 61 of Manchester, VT, passed away on January 31st, 2021 after a short battle with cancer. Keith passed away at home surrounded by his family and friends. Keith was born on August 25th, 1959 to parents Clinton Cole of Townshend, VT, and Doris (Towne) Cole of Arlington, VT. Keith graduated from Burr and Burton Seminary in 1977. Keith was well known for his hard work, dedication, and his kind heart. He worked at the Sirloin Saloon in Manchester from the time he was 17 until they closed their doors in 2011. Many will remember his smiling, friendly face at his impeccably kept salad bar where he enjoyed chatting with patrons. Keith also spent many years at Zoey’s Double Hex where he was employed until his passing. He was also well-loved by many individuals whose properties he cared for over many years. Keith was working with his nephew, helping to maintain properties in Manchester, including Murray Hill, Riverside, and Manchester East Condo Associations right up until weeks before he passed. His presence will be missed, and his shoes will be hard to fill. Keith’s joy came from his hobbies of hunting, fishing, bowling. He had a passion for travelling, and enjoyed many adventures with his wife and Eddie. Spending time with his family was very important to Keith. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and a Social Member of the VFW. On September 3rd, 2005, Keith married his sweetheart Pauline (Mattison) Cole in a family filled celebration at the covered bridge in Arlington. They have resided together in Manchester ever since. Keith was predeceased by his parents Clinton and Doris. Sisters Wanda Gaudette and Darlene Merrow, as well as Nephews Jason Carey and Jerry Merrow Jr. He is survived by his wife Pauline Cole (Manchester); his siblings Richard “Dicky” Cole (North Bennington, VT), Wyneta Towslee (Manchester, VT), Donna Carey and Gene Cole (Sunderland, VT); Grandchildren Mirabelle Salmon, Trinity Salmon, and Liam Saunders; nieces and nephews, Tom Towslee Jr., Chuck Towslee, Matthew Cole, Janea Waite, Jamie Cross, Tabrina Carey, Derek Carey, Rebecca Sargeant, Jenessa Cole, Brittany Cole, Katelyn Cole, Katie Lewis, and Brenda Lewis; step-children Kayla Saunders and Eugene Saunders Jr. as well as many great-nieces and nephews. In his final days, Keith was happy to be surrounded, and visited by many friends and family, including his good friend and hunting & traveling buddy Eddie Ouellette, and his sister in law Tarra Finnegan.
