Kellie Stratton

Kellie L. Stratton, 52 a lifelong resident of Bennington passed away peacefully Sunday November 29, 2015 at the Albany NY) Medical Center. Kellie was born in Bennington on May 25, 1963, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Gracie (Holman) Stratton Sr. Kellie grew up in Bennington and was a 1981 graduate of Mt. Anthony Union High School. She loved to walk no matter how far she had to go, she was also an avid reader, she enjoyed playing cards-especially hearts, spades and cribbage. Kellie was known to have a "green thumb" and could nurture any plant back to life, she was talented in doing macrame in hemp. Kellie was always a bright spot and her smile would light up a room.She leaves her son Thame Holland of Bennington, daughters Stephanie Mattison on Tallahassee, FL and Danielle Philbrook of New Jersey, brother Frank and wife Jenn Stratton Jr. of Bennington, sister Patricia DeCoff of Bennington, twin grandchildren Ezra and Eivin Surdam, her lifelong friend John Dyson, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister Anna Wahl October 17, 2012.Funeral services will be held on Thursday December 3 at 10am at the Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home.
