Kevin William Horton

Kevin Horton, 66, passed peacefully Friday, February 9, 2024, held by loved ones. Born June 24, 1957, in Hackensack, New Jersey to Genevieve and George "Buddy" Horton. Kevin loved his family unconditionally and welcomed everyone into his home. His love of fishing goes back to his childhood with his family on the North Shore of Long Island. He especially loved surf fishing off Rocky Point. He loved music and attended many live shows including The Grateful Dead, Billy Joel, Elton John and Dead and Company with Howie and friends. He enjoyed coaching his children in various sports as he was an avid lover of all games, especially pinochle. Given the opportunity, he would choose to watch any sporting event and he always loved to take his family everywhere he went. Kevin was a hard-working and caring man who will be missed by so many. Kevin is survived by his wife and soul mate of 40 years, Dianne; son Kevin and daughter-in-law Bri; daughter Amy and fiancé Rob; daughter Beth and partner Craig; grandson Kayden and granddaughter Genevieve; sister Jill and husband Ralph; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Kevin is preceded in death by his parents George "Buddy" and Genevieve Horton, and his brother George Horton. Calling hours will be held Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Hanson Walbridge in Arlington, VT from 5-7 pm.
