Laura Dix

Laura E. Dix, 89, a resident of Greenway Drive, passed away June 9, 2016 at the Vernon Green Advent Christian Home. Laura was born in Huntington, MA on October 4, 1926 the daughter of the late Leon and Florence M. (Greenleaf) Ellis, She was educated in Wilmington schools, graduating from Whitingham High School, class of 1944. Laura worked as a final inspector for G. S. Precision both in Wilmington and Brattleboro. In her earlier years she enjoyed being outdoors, especially camping and snowmobiling. She enjoyed painting and took painting class for many years. She cherished times spent with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Laura is survived by her daughters Lorraine Saunders and her husband Douglas of Wilmington and Candace Dix and her fiance Bruce Fuller also of Wilmington, son Charles Dix and his wife Terry of Whitingham ,eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Randall Dixon and her seven siblings. Graveside funeral services for Laura will be held Tuesday June 14, 2016 at 2pm at Riverview Cemetery in Wilmington.
