Lena Ruth Shattuck

Lena Ruth Shattuck, 86, a resident of Union Street, and formerly of Manchester, VT passed away April 27, 2021 at the Manes House in Bennington. Lena was born in Danby, VT on March 28, 1935 the daughter of the late Edgar and Alice Hart Corey attended local schools and cleaned area homes for many years. Lena enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, walking, reading, listening to country music and spending time with her family. Lena is survived by her children Roberta Sargood (David) of Shushan, NY, Barbara Valenkas of Salem, NH and Jerry Shattuck and his significant other Barbara of Manchester Center, VT, her brother Edgar Corey, Jr (Becky) of Wells, VT, sisters Gloria Alden of Glens falls, NY and Linda Dorman (Donald) of Bennington, grandchildren Samantha, Christina, Heather, Justin, Stacy and Michael, step-granddaughter Becca and great grandchildren Victoria, Sydney, Colin-Michael, Zachary, Caleb, Aryana and Jameson. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Shattuck who passed away October 16, 2014, her son Edgar Shattuck who passed away December 21, 2004, sisters Wilma Martindale, Helen Montgomery, Mabel Davis, Marguerite Corey, Marie Eiserman and May Ely and her brother Harry Corey. Graveside funeral services for Lena will be held Saturday May 1, 2021 at 11am at Bondville Cemetery in Winhall, VT. There are no visiting hours.
