Leroy Clairmont

Leroy Nelson Clairmont, 52, a resident of West Sandgate Road, passed away December 22, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Leroy was born in Bennington, VT on January 21, 1966 the son of Leroy Morse and Barbara McIntire and was adopted by Donald Clairmont at a young age. He attended Salem, NY schools, graduating from Salem High School. Leroy worked as a logger for 35 years. He enjoyed hunting, watching and then attending drag races at Lebanon valley Speedway, listening to classic rock and roll music and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Christine Curcio Clairmont of Sandgate, son Garrett Clairmont and his wife Emily of Schuylerville, NY, daughters Nicole Oswald and her husband Richard Tafoya of Arlington, VT, Marli Ann Peters and her husband Jeremy also of Arlington, Kathleen Fernandez and her husband Paul of Saratoga, NY , Marni DuFrain and her husband Ricky of Greenwich, NY and Teagan Clairmont of New York, sisters Marj Clairmont and her husband Scott of Massachusetts and Rebecca Clairmont of Bennington, many other siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins of the Morse family and many grandchildren. A celebration of life for Leroy will be held Saturday January 19, 2019 from 2-4pm at the American Legion in Arlington. There are no visiting hours.
