Leroy J. Lacross, Jr. Lacross, Jr.

Leroy J. LaCross, Jr., a resident of Main Street, passed away January 26, 2025 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. Leroy was born in Bennington on May 17, 1966 the son of Leroy J. LaCross, Sr. and Eleanor Skidmore and attended Bennington schools. Leroy was a jack of all trades, and for many years he worked as a handy man in Sandgate, Sunderland and Arlington areas. Leroy loved to socialize and gamble. He enjoyed scratch tickets, entering football pools and also enjoyed listening classic rock music, NASCAR and following the Green Bay Packers football team. Leroy is survived by his children Hailey Murphy of England, Brianna Murphy of Glenns Falls, NY and Amy LaCross of North Carolina, his brother Brian LaCross, sister Patricia LaCross (Richard Stratton), nieces Jennie, Crystal, Sabrina, Jillisa and Jurnee and his nephew Jayce. He was preceded in death by his father Leroy LACross, Sr. and nephew Andrew LaCross. A potluck celebration of life for Leroy will begin on February 2, 2025 beginning at 1pm at 3088 VT Route 346 in Pownal, VT.  There are no visiting hours.
