Linda Kay Ameden, 70, of Londonderry passed away peacefully on March 19, 2024 at her residence.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held at the Second Congregational Church in Londonderry,VT on April 27, 2024 at 2 p.m., a reception will follow at the Weston Rod and Gun Club building.
Linda was born on July 8, 1953 in Townsend, to Nelson and Mildred Stevens. She was raised in Weston Vermont, and attended public schools in Weston and Londonderry.
In 1974 as a young single mother, Linda met the future love of her life Kenneth Ameden. Linda and Ken would then create a bond together that would last a lifetime.
Linda was a hardworking, strong willed woman, that had a heart of gold. Linda worked as a housekeeper at the Swiss Inn for the Gegenshatz family for many years, and continued her employment there when the Inn sold to the Donahue Family. Later in life Linda was employed by the Mary Meyer factory in Townsend,VT.
Linda absolutely loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, doing puzzles, and crossword puzzle books, and knitting.
Linda is survived by a son James Ameden and wife Pamela Ameden of Londonderry, a daughter Stacy Ameden of Manchester, stepson Scot Ameden and wife Teresa of Baltimore, Maryland, stepdaughter Sherri Van DeHoek and husband Ari of Holland. Two brothers, Roy Stevens, and Jason Harrington and a sister Candy Bliss, several cousins, also seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her father Nelson Stevens, mother Mildred Stevens, sisters Nancy Stevens and Jane Stevens, Linda was also widowed by her very loving husband Kenneth E. Ameden in 2016
Linda will be missed by all of her friends and family, and we hope to see you all at her celebration of life.
