Linda Gail Guttroff, a longtime resident of Winhall, passed away in Naples Florida on October 19, 2024, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was 84 years old. Linda was born on April 6, 1940, to George H and Florence Rothchild Wolf in Rockville Center, NY. She attended college and worked as a secretary in Manhattan as a young woman. She married Robert F Guttroff on January 8, 1966, in Bayside, NY. She moved to Winhall Vermont, where Robert and his brother had started Stratton Valley Land Development. She raised 2 children, Robert Frank and Nancy Marie. When her children were of school age, she returned to work as a secretary and later as a store clerk in Bondville. She also served as a member of the school board in Winhall. Linda was a fun-loving person, and enjoyed music, dancing and entertaining friends and family. She loved to cook and bake and ran a small bakery from her home for several years. She was skilled in crafts and painting. She also loved flowers and gardening. Linda is survived by her children Robert Guttroff and wife Carolyn Bushee Guttroff, Nancy Lee and her husband Scott Lee, her sister Nancy Mackie, her brother Kevin Wolf, and her stepmother Frances Wolf. There will be a service for Linda on November 15 at 11 am at the Second Congregational Church in Londonderry, followed by a short burial at the Bondville Cemetery. Brewster-Shea Funeral services is handling the funeral arrangements.
