Linda M. Matteson, 54, passed away unexpectedly June 24, 2019 at her home. Linda was born in Cambridge, NY on October 24, 1964 the daughter of the late John and Gloria Balestra Waite. She attended Salem, NY schools graduating from Salem Central High School class of 1982. Linda worked for many years as an area home caretaker and cleaner and worked at VFW and also the Eagles Club in Manchester. She loved archery and the outdoors. She enjoyed listening to classic rock and country music, traveling to Florida and was a huge Dallas Cowboy football fan. She was also a member of the Eagles and VFW in Manchester. Linda is survived by her children David Matteson and his wife Trista of Pawlet, Craig Matteson and his partner Brittany Badger of Pawlet and Karrie Matteson and her partner Ryan White, brothers Joseph Waite and his wife Janet of Dorset and Michael Waite and his wife Floreen of North Springfield, VT, her sister Pamela Saunders and her husband Douglas of Bennington and grandchildren Brooke, Wyatt, Keigen, Corin and Oliver and her special friend and partner John Farnum of Florida. She was preceded in death by her brother John Waite and sister Shirley Waite. A celebration of life for Linda will be held Monday July 1, 2019 at 3pm at the VFW in Manchester. Interment will be private. There are no visiting hours. If friends desire, memorial gifts in Linda's memory may be made to the VFW in Manchester, c/o Brewster-Shea Funeral Home P.O. Box 885 Manchester Center, VT.
