Mae T. Alexander, 91, a resident of Sugar Shack Lane in Arlington passed away peacefully at Bennington Health & Rehabilitation Center on Thursday June 29, 2016. The daughter of Grover C. and Mae (Heacock) Thompson. She was born in Bala, Pennsylvania on March 3, 1925. She grew up in the Bala area and graduated from Lower Merion High School in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. Mae was married to Howard Alexander on November 2, 1946, they relocated to Arlington on October 29, 1969 where she absolutely loved living in Vermont, especially the snowy winters. Howard passed away on March 9, 2006. Mae had worked at The Happy Cook, the original Cheese House in Arlington and at the former Christmas Dove. She enjoyed many things including Big Band Swing Music, dancing, reading, baking, traveling, the Pa. Dutch Country and the Gettysburg area. She will be fondly remembered for giving big hugs. She leaves her son Howard Alexander, Jr. and daughter Susan Alexander both of Arlington, granddaughter Nicole Lannel Caetano and her husband Lee, great grandchildren Ethan, Tyler and Lexi.There will be no services. Her ashes, as well as those of her husband, Howard, will be scattered in Pennsylvania.
