Marceline Orton

Marceline Orton, 83, a resident of Duffy Drive, passed away Thursday March 26, 2015 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. Marceline was born in Union City, PA on March 25, 1932 the daughter of Lawrence and Geraldine (Hawley) Tujetsch. She attended schools in Union City graduating from Union City High School. Marceline and her husband worked on the family's farm and subsequently operated the family's roadside fruit market in Columbus, PA. She moved to New Port Richey, Florida to take over a seamless gutter business with her husband. Upon moving to Bennington, Marcy worked for twenty years in the office of her daughter Judy Orton, MD. Marceline was a member of the Dance Ranch Cloggers, enjoyed watching her Scottish Terrier perform in dog agility, listening to country music, shopping and eating out. Marceline is survived by her daughter Judy K. (Orton) Raffone and her husband Robert of Bennington, nephews Robert Orton, Jr. and his wife Yvonne of Wattsburg, PA, and Daniel Orton of Pittsburg, PA, close family friends Matt and Jodi Beaudoin and their children Tucker and Brady, and grandson Larry Orton of Spartansburg, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Orton whom she married December 1, 1950. Mr. Orton died September 20, 1985. She was also preceded in death by her sons Terry and Randy Orton and grandson, Jeffrey Orton. Graveside funeral services for Marceline will be announced later in the spring and will be held in the family lot in Riverside Cemetery in Londonderry, Vermont. There are no visiting hours.
