Margaret Leonardo

Margaret E. Leonardo, 88, a resident of Ware Road, passed away peacefully December 16, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. Margaret was born in Kerhunkson, NY on October 24, 1930 the daughter of the late William Charles Boyd and Margaret Louise White. She attended school in Ellenville, NY graduating from Ellenville High School. Margaret worked at the Five Corners Restaurant and later for E.D.O. Aircraft as an administrative assistant both located in College Point, NY. She was also a volunteer for many organizations in College Point, Saratoga Springs, NY and Wilmington, VT, all of the places she resided in her lifetime. Margaret was an avid collector of numerous things, especially salt and pepper shakers, a hobby of her mom's that she continued. She enjoyed gardening, needlepoint, playing bridge, cooking, tag sales, going to the racetrack with her husband Frank and jigsaw puzzles. She was a Buffalo Bills fan and cherished times spent with her family. Margaret is survived by he children Wayne Leonardo and his wife Theresa of Charlestown, NH, Margaret Leonardo and her husband Michael Hayward of Falmouth, Maine, Frank Leonardo and his wife Michele of Clearwater, FL, Camille Swanson and her husband Douglas of Wilmington, and her son-in-law Christopher Hanley of Phoenix, AZ, 13 grandchildren and15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Leonardo whom she married on January 19, 1952. Mr. Leonardo passed away October 30, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Nanette Hanley who passed away July 29, 2016 and her brother William Boyd who passed away December 27, 2015. Funeral services for Margaret will be held Saturday December 22, 2018 at 1pm at St. Mary's in the Mountains Episcopal Church. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery. There are no visiting hours. Funeral services for Margaret will be held Saturday December 22, 2018 at 1pm at St. Mary's in the Mountains Episcopal Church. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery. There are no visiting hours.
