Marian I. Streiber 90, a resident of Main Street in Manchester, was called home on January 28th, 2019. Marian was born December 18th, 1928 in Chicopee Massachusetts, to the late Henry Boisvere, and Irene (Wing) Boisvere. She attended and graduated from Chicopee area schools. On June 21st, 1947 Marian married Carl S. Streiber and built a life in Chicopee until 1973 when Carl's career brought them to Manchester. Marian worked for the Dorset School as the secretary, a job she cherished and spoke of fondly even years after her retirement in 1993. Marian was a fan of Elvis, especially when he sang the gospel, and loved solving crossword puzzles. In her younger years, she loved playing tennis, was an avid reader, loved to dance, and enjoyed singing with her husband and granddaughter Laura, on car rides. Above all else, Marian loved spending time with her family. Marian was also a former member of the Rebekah's, and of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a proud member of the Cowasuck band of the Pennacook Abenaki Tribe. Marian is survived by her family who adored her; her two sons: Paul Streiber of Manchester, and Kurt Streiber, and his wife Lisa of Granville, New York. Her beloved brothers, Thomas Boisvere and wife Eileen of Belchertown, MA, and William and his wife Elaine of Chicopee, MA, and her loving grandchildren, Laura, Karley, Kristian Streiber, and her granddog Midnight. Marian is preceded in death by her husband Carl, and brothers Alfred, Richard, Walter, Henry, and Franklin. A celebration of life for Marian will be announced in the spring.
