Marie Agnes Farrington Howe

Marie Agnes Farrington Howe, 87, a resident of Water Street in Keene, passed away March 15, 2022 at Cheshire Medical Center. Marie was born in Brattleboro, VT on October 31, 1934 the daughter of the late James W. and Grace Bishop Farrington. She attended local schools and graduated from Whitingham High School class of 1952. After raising her four children she graduated from the Putnam School of Nursing as an LPN. Later she graduated from Berkshire Community College with an Associate Degree in Nursing becoming an RN. Marie worked at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center from 1969 until her retirement November 1, 1997. Marie was a former member of the North Bennington Baptist Church. She was a very curious individual who loved seeing or learning about something new. She enjoyed visiting museums, traveling, playing games and spending time with her family. Marie is survived by her children Brenda Howe of Keene, NH, Holly Mitchell (David) of Camden Arkansas, Bernard Howe (Pamela) of Browns Summit, NC and Scott Howe (Annie) of Williamsburg, VA, her brother David Farrington (Linda) of Whitingham, grandchildren Leona, Lance and Chad Mitchell and Brett and Matthew Happel and nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services for Marie will be held Friday March 25, 2022 at 11am at the Whitingham Community Church. Interment will be in Sawdagwa Cemetery. There are no visiting hours.
