Marie B. Williams, 87, formerly of Jacksonville, VT passed away June 20, 2024 at Brookdale Village at Fillmore Pond. Marie was born in Wilmington, VT on January 25, 1937 the daughter of the late Howard and Dorothy DeBell Moore. She attended local schools and graduated from Wilmington High School. Marie had a variety of occupations including a secretary, Mt. Snow, a truck driver hauling from coast to coast and as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal service to name a few. Marie was very active in her church and enjoyed traveling to each of the continental United States. Her passion was her family and she cherished times spent with them. Marie is survived by her daughter Jacquelyn Williams of Swanzey, NH, her brother David Moore of Halifax, VT, 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Williams whom she married April 16, 1955 in Wilmington. Richard passed away in 2018. She was also preceded in death by sons Steven Williams who passed away in 2021 and Thomas Williams who passed away in 1999 and a grandchild Kelley. A celebration of life for Marie will be held Saturday July 13, 2024 at 11am at the Jacksonville Community Church. Following a time of fellowship and refreshments, Marie will be buried with her husband Richard in Jacksonville Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Friday July 12m from 4-6pm at Covey Allen & Shea Funeral Home 44 East Main Street Wilmington, VT.
