She was the Innkeeper of the well-known lodge the “ALP-HOF” for a number of years. She served as an administrative associate at Green Mountain Power until her retirement. Mom was very active during her life and was playing tennis until she turned 80. She loved driving and drove herself to Florida and back every year. She would stop at each of her daughters houses (in the lower 48) and spend a week or so with each on the way down and then on the way back again for a couple of days. She said that driving was the only time she was pain free. Mom was also quick witted and loved to laugh. She loved colorful clothes and shopping and always looked like a million bucks. She was beautiful inside and out. The cremation/services were entrusted to Covey, Allen and Shea Funeral Home, Wilmington. Place them in my mother/Nana’s arms And tell her they are from us. Tell her that we love and miss her, And when she turns to smile, Place a kiss upon her cheek, And hold her for awhile. Remembering her is easy, We do it every day. But there’s an ache within our hearts That will never go away. We love and miss you so very much. (Adapted from the poem If Roses Grow in Heaven)
